Call for Papers
International Conference in honor of the 85th anniversary of Professor Jugderiin Luvsandorj
Conference Purpose:
Jugderiin Luvsandorj, a renowned scholar of Mongolian language and philology, made significant contributions over many years as a lecturer and head of the Department of Mongolian Language at the National University of Mongolia, and as a guest lecturer and professor at the Department of Mongolian Studies, Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.
He dedicated his entire life to the development of Mongolian studies abroad, producing numerous academic articles and books in the field of Mongolian linguistics. His work spans areas such as the Secret History of the Mongols, ethnolinguistics, Mongolian phonetics, Mongol Script, and the theory and methods of teaching Mongolian to foreigners. He authored/co-authored and published textbooks and monographs in Mongolian, English, Czech, and Russian.
In honor of Jugderiin Luvsandorj’s 85th birthday, this conference aims to pay tribute and show respect to Professor Jugderiin Luvsandorj for his contributions as a commemoration of his life and work in the field of Mongolian language and Mongolian studies, as well as his significant contributions to the advancement of Mongolian studies globally.
Conference Scope:
The conference is aiming to cover the following areas of research topics.
- J.Luvsandorj’s contribution to the development of Mongolian studies
- J.Luvsandorj’s contribution to the study of “Secret History of Mongols”.
- J.Luvsandorj’s contribution to the theory and methodology of teaching Mongolian as a foreign language
- J.Luvsandorj’s contribution to Mongolian philology
- J. Luvsandorj’s research on Mongolian traditional knowledge and pedagogy
- Recalling memories with Luvsandorj by his colleagues and students.
